Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
RiskReady 31000 (“RiskReady”, “the service”) is provided by Commtac Consult Ltd, trading as Commtac (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the service you enter into a contract with Commtac Consult Ltd on these terms. Contact: pete@commtac.co.
2. Acceptance and authority
By registering for, accessing or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you use RiskReady on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you use it as an individual you confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
3. The service
RiskReady is a web application for self-assessing risk management readiness against ISO 31000:2018 guidelines. It provides questionnaire and AI-assisted interview modes, context-linked probes referencing paired standards, risk appetite gap analysis, multirater perception variance heatmaps, dashboards and downloadable gap reports. RiskReady is an assessment and consulting support tool. It is not a certification body, and its outputs are not a certification, audit opinion, or legal, financial or regulatory advice. Scores, benchmarks and AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed by a competent person before you act on them.
4. Accounts and credentials
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, including activity by users you invite. Roles (Admin, Consultant, Company and rater roles) determine what data an account can reach; do not share logins or attempt to access organisations you have not been assigned to. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your own internal business or client-advisory purposes within the limits of the plan you have purchased. You must not reverse engineer, decompile or copy the service, resell or redistribute access, circumvent usage limits, seat limits or entitlement checks, or use the service to build a competing product.
6. Acceptable use and misuse
You must not use the service:
- for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of applicable law or regulation;
- for fraud, misrepresentation, spam or unsolicited bulk messaging;
- to infringe intellectual property, confidentiality or privacy rights of any person;
- to interfere with security or availability — including uploading malware, probing or scanning the service, penetration testing without written consent, scraping, or automated access that degrades performance;
- to upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or that you have no right to submit, including third-party personal or confidential data you are not authorised to share.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the organisation records, answers, transcripts and other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and transmit that content solely to operate and support the service and to produce your reports. You are responsible for having the rights and lawful basis to submit it, including where you enter staff names and contact details or record voice input. If a rights holder believes content on the service infringes their rights they can email pete@commtac.co identifying the content and the right concerned; we will review and may remove or restrict it, and repeated or serious infringement will lead to account termination.
8. AI features and content moderation
The AI interview, transcription and narrative-generation features produce automated output. You are responsible for your prompts and inputs, for verifying the accuracy of outputs, and for how you use them — including in any client deliverable. You must not attempt to jailbreak the AI features or use them to generate illegal content, malware, deepfakes, harassment or hate speech. We may filter, refuse, remove or restrict content and outputs, and suspend accounts, where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. AI outputs are not suitable as a substitute for regulated professional advice without qualified human oversight.
9. Our intellectual property
We and our licensors own the service and all intellectual property in it — software, question banks, scoring models, benchmark data, report templates, documentation, designs, the RiskReady name and logo, and the Commtac branding. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. ISO standards referenced in the service, including ISO 31000:2018, remain the property of ISO; RiskReady is not affiliated with, endorsed by or accredited by ISO.
10. Payments, subscriptions and refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled; one-off report purchases are charged once and grant the credits described at checkout. Prices are shown at checkout and exclude, or are shown inclusive of, applicable taxes as determined at that point. Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Our own refund window is set out in our Refund Policy. You may cancel a subscription at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
11. Availability and warranties
We aim to keep the service available and performing well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, and maintenance, updates or third-party failures may cause downtime. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Liability
We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost or corrupted data, loss of goodwill or business interruption, or for decisions taken on the basis of assessment scores, benchmarks or AI output. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from content you submit, your unlawful or unauthorised use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, where there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to remedy. You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and closing your account. On termination your right to use the service ends; you may export your reports and data during a 30-day window after which we may delete or anonymise it in line with our Privacy Notice.
15. General
We may change these terms as the service evolves and will post the updated version with a new date; continued use after a change means you accept it. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If a provision is unenforceable the rest continues in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
